NNPC CURRENTLY HAS OPENING FOR THE POSITION OF RISK AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER TO SUPPORT THE STRATEGIC EFFORTS IN EFFECTIVELY MANAGING THE ASSET RISK EXPOSURE OF THE CORPORATION.JOB IDENTIFICATIONJOB TITLE: DEPUTY MANAGER, RISK AUDIT AND COMPLIANCELOCATION: ABUJADIV/DEPT: INSURANCESECTION: REPORT TO GM, INSURANCEREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSREPORTS TO:POSITION & TITLE – GENERAL MANAGER, INSURANCEDIRECT SUBORDINDATES: RISK MANAGEMENT OFFICERMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTO CONDUCT RISK SURVEYS (ALL NNPC LOCATIONS) AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH RISK REDUCTION RECOMMENDATIONS.SPECIFIC OR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS•TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN LOSS CONTROL AND RISK AWARENESS PROGRAMMES•TO IDENTIFY AND RECOMMEND RISK TRANSFER OPTIONS IN RESPECT OF LIFE AND PROPERTY.•TO COORDINATE AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH RISK REDUCTION, RECOMMENDATIONS.•TO IDENTIFY AND RECOMMEND NEW TRENDS IN RISK MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES.•MAINTAIN GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS OF THE RISK AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE UNIT.SCOPE AND EFFECTNATURE OF PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES: CREATING AWARENESS AND APPLICATION OF THE JOB FUNCTIONS AT SBU LEVELS.GIVE EXAMPLES OF THE MAIN PROBLEMS/DIFFICULTIES THAT CAN ARISE IN THE JOB• SAME AS ABOVE• LACK OF COOPERATION AT SBU LEVELSNATURE OF DECISIONS AND EFFECTS•DECIDES ON JOB ALLOCATION TO SUBORDINATESGIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF THE DECISIONS TAKEN IN THE JOB, TOGETHER WITH THE BENEFITS OR DRAWBACKS WHICH CAN RESULT FROM MAKING THEM.DECISION : DECISIONS TO ASSIGN JOBS TO SUBORDINATESEFFECT : FOR EFFECTIVE WORK PERFORMANCENATURE OF AUTONOMY IN DECISION MAKING : •MATTERS OUTSIDE OWN JOB SPHERE IS REFERRED TO SUPERIOR•GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF DECISIONS THAT THE JOB HOLDER CANNOT TAKE HIMSELF BUT WOULD HAVE TO REFER TO HIS SUPERIOR.
