POSITION TITLE SENIOR INSTRUMENT/ELECTRICAL ENGINEERPOSITION REPORTS TO:The Lead Instrument Electrical EngineerPRIMARY OBJECTIVEInitiate and Oversee Electrical/Instrumentation design engineering activities within the project. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES• Perform engineering design duties • Duties will include equipment selection and specification, detail design in collaboration with designers and bid evaluation/ vendor document review and approval.• Direct and coordinating the specialist instrument and electrical engineering and drafting design team. • Liaise with other project disciplines• Modifications to Cause and Effect diagrams and Functional definition of required Process Control & Safety systems • Quality a*surance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality a*surance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit• Understand and follow OH&S procedures.ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCEB.Sc or B.Eng Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering degree.• Anticipate at least 10+ years plus experience with instrumentation in the Oil & Gas environment, including a minimum of 6 years offshore experience• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them• Intimate knowledge of offshore installation techniques on brownfield projects on live facilitiesStrong technical background in either Electrical or Instrument Engineering (with knowledge of the other discipline). Working knowledge of codes and standards. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrated performance as a team leader desirable. Dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential.
